When you use Jamtrackd, we collect certain information to provide and improve our social music experience:

  • Account Information: Your email address, username, display name, profile photo, and password authentication details when registering.
  • User Content: Reviews, ratings, rankings, comments, likes, and social interactions you publish.
  • Connected Music Accounts: When linking Spotify or third-party music services, we receive access tokens and listening history permissions authorized by you.
  • Device & Usage Info: Device model, OS version, push notification tokens (FCM), and app diagnostics.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

  • Operating and maintaining your Jamtrackd account and social feed.
  • Personalizing recommendations and syncing your music history.
  • Facilitating friend connections, invites, and notifications.
  • Ensuring app security, preventing abuse, and enforcing our EULA policies.

3. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers strictly necessary to deliver our application services:

  • Google Cloud & Firebase: Authentication, database hosting (Firestore), analytics, and push notifications.
  • Streaming API Partners: Spotify, Apple Music, and Deezer APIs for music metadata and playback.
  • Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect user safety.

4. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account remains active. You may request account deletion at any time in the app under Settings > Delete Account or by visiting our Data Request Page. Upon account deletion, all personal data, reviews, and posts are permanently deleted from our servers within 30 days.
